Frontend architecture for production banking journeys
Frontend architecture and reusable Web Components for customer-facing financial journeys in ING Italy's Affluent domain.
The longer version
I design and build production micro-frontends including investment questionnaires, financial coaching tools, dashboards and proposal journeys.
The work spans architecture, stakeholder collaboration, reusable component development, automated testing and occasional Java service contributions.
What I worked on
- Designed the frontend structure and component architecture for the MiFID Questionnaire, My Money Coach, IRIS Dashboard and Proposal Creation journeys.
- Worked directly with ING Italy engineers and stakeholders on architectural decisions and technical design.
- Built reusable Lit and Storybook components aligned with the ING design system and WCAG standards.
- Implemented automated tests with Open Web Components and Sinon, and contributed to Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Contributed to Java services when a feature or production issue crossed the frontend boundary.
- Mentored junior engineers through code reviews, technical sessions and day-to-day guidance.
